Montrose Dad

This was reported several weeks ago (52665 and 55305) and remains unresolved. Obviously pedestrian safety is the last thing on the City's mind. Shameful and incompetent! Why was the prior entry closed without resolution?!?

Tree waste is blocking the sidewalk on Montrose Boulevard. It has been this way for at least three days. Montrose is a major pedestrian thoroughfare, yet the City doesn't care about pedestrian safety. Even as I was taking the picture for this post at least 4 HPD units drove by and didn't notice the violation. Shameful!

All the driveway aprons on the south side of the 400 of Welch have lifted and cracked after the water main project.

According to a recent lawsuit the City of Houston lost, the city regularly neglects ADA regulations. Here is another example of its callous neglected towards the needs of the mobility impaired: A ramp into a 2' hole filled with stagnant water. All ramps installed are supposed to be ADA compliant. A number of new ramps recently installed are not.

This meter has been leaking for months. The city has has closed the issue multiple times but failed to fix. It is a mosquito breeding ground.

This has been reported numerous times in the last 10 years. The city has failed to act.

Vegetation obstructing sidewalk

This address has been reported multiple times by multiple neighbors at a various times during the day. HPD has never done anything about illegal parking behavior.

This is not the first time we've had issues with this address. It has been a nonstop mobility violation.

Sidewalk needs to be replaced. It is. real trip hazard.

It is impossible to get past this stretch of sidewalk without getting cut by the roses on one side or poked by the Sago palm on the other.

This is a very common problem throughout this area. Oftentimes, developers landscape using large lot landscape designs and fails to account for what will happen a few months or years down the line. Sago palms should be outlawed in urban areas. They are ugly, poisonous, poking menaces.
