The noise from loud music in cars and loud mufflers on motorcycles is offensive, especially to those of us who are not in cars - i.e. pedestrians, cyclists, and residents.

If the Mayor and her team want to improve the quality of life in New Haven and make people want to live here and stay here, then enforcing a sound ordinance (particularly on vehicles) would go a long way.

Speeding on Grand Avenue is life threatening - at all hours of the day and night. Some genius made the stop lights react to sensors, rather than timers, so that they stay green most of the time, creating a racetrack on Grand Avenue. Not even the terrible potholes all along these blocks slow people down. The police are too busy going to emergencies to notice that everyone else drives faster than they do, while talking on their cell phones. This is a citywide problem, but it's particularly bad on the arteries like State, Chapel, and Grand Ave., among others, because of the long stretches between stoplights, lack of speed humps, etc. This creates barriers between little pockets of neighborhoods, and threatens lives when of pedestrians and cyclists.

Long row of potholes - pavement is disintegrating and is dangerous for bicycles and damaging to cars.

New outdoor speakers at the new Pizza place, AhBeetz play random loud music to the street all night. Is this Legal? It is offensive to those of us who want some peace and quiet. They do not have outdoor tables, in fact they are still under construction. And yet the terrible music randomly plays. Was this permitted? Cease and desist.

Buses and trucks sit idling here for hours - right in front of "NO PARKING ANYTIME" signs. Can we at least make this a "NO IDLE" area too? They are very loud and polluting the air.

Pothole is large and getting longer and deeper.

the traffic sensor is not working at this intersection. Olive street traffic hasn't gotten a green light for over 3 minutes.

Multiple street lights out. Very dark block.

All of the trees are dead on this block - both sides of broadway. Shade from leafy trees would improve the experience of the block immensely.
