I too noticed this. I am a physician and the rate of New haven residents with ear drum perforations has soared in in the past four years. The sirens exceed OSHA limits. How can she get away with this?

I am a visiting scholar and a combat veteran who served in the Gulf. New Haven sirens are louder than anywhere I've been globally. Isn't a violation of OSHA a crime? AMR is a monopoly and they are turning downtown into there base of operations. Who will do anything?? And when?

I always cover my ears if I hear one coming. Otherwise it's painful.

Sirens need to be heard by drivers with their windows closed.
