Catch basin has collapsed in and the steel “temporary” cover has been pushed aside by a plow. Please fix the hazardous catch basin.

More than 30 days & DPW hasn’t commented or fixed this hazard yet. What is the sense of this site? I wish someone would drive into it to then sue the city, as it has clearly been reported and yet they’ve done zip.

I can see the status of this issue has not yet been changed from "Open" to "Acknowledged". That means nobody employed with our city has seen it. It looks like this one fell through the cracks. Sometimes that happens. Your best bet would be to either call someone at Public Works and tell them the issue number which is 7100296 or just report the issue again.

You're absolutely correct. That is the purpose of this tool. Most issues are acknowledged not more than a few hours after they are reported, but a small percentage of them just never get seen.

Nearly 90 days later, the metal plate is finally put back in place to cover over the catch basin and is marked out for Call Before You Dig. DPW only noticed it when they were street sweeping.
