The owners of the rear apartment building at 315 Whitney allow cars to park directly in front of the only building entrance/exit. At times it is very difficult to get in and out of the building, especially when the lot is full. If there was ever an emergency it would be next to impossible for emergency access if the lot is full.

I have been there a few times during the day and found each time no one parking outside of a designated parking spot. Will keep monitoring

No one parks there during the day right now because classes have not started up. Also if you go in the early morning or evening there is always someone parked there.

Also, it is a designated parking spot, right in front of the door. That is what needs to be addressed.

Hi @hwdc I'm the alder for the 21st ward - I think this is the appropriate place to report this. I followed up with the Fire Department at the beginning of August about this issue. Now that school is starting again, I can follow up again.
