Thanks for reporting. The Clean Air Council has taken note of the location of this idling vehicle. We are gathering data to identify idling hot spots, so please make sure to write again if you see another vehicle idling at this location, particularly another Department of Streets vehicle. The Council will address the issue by alerting Philadelphia's Air Management Services, hanging anti-idling signs, and discussing the problem with local businesses. Thanks for your help on this important project for public health!

If a bus, large commercial truck or construction equipment is observed to be running its engine while stationary, please contact the Air Management Services Unit at 215-685-7580.
All other vehicles, (cars, pickup trucks, vans, motorcycles, etc.), please report them to the Police Department at 911. Thank you. (mb)
