The sign marking the island on Whalley Avenue in Westville was knocked down several weeks ago. This has been reported several times and still the sign is down. The sign is currently on the side of the road near BEKI synagogue. This is a safety issue as the island is new and not well lit. This really needs to be addressed before the island is hit again. Since this a well known and reported issue the City would be liable for their negligence.
