On June 19, 2017 a notice was posted on the tree by the City of New Haven, giving people 10 days to object to the tree being cut down. Nothing has been done and as far as I know no one has objected. I don't know what I need to do to impress upon the City the dangerousness of this situation. The upper half of the tree is dead. It is only a matter of time before the heavy, dead branches fall on someone, someone's car or my house or my neighbors. Will you please cut down this tree before Hurricane season hits us and damage is done to persons and/or property

Dear City of New Haven: I have been reporting this issue for the last 6 months - 1/2 of the tree is dead and it is only a matter of time before someone is hurt by a falling branch or my roof or my neighbor's roof or someone's care is damaged by a falling branch. I pay taxes to the City of New Haven which means I not only pay for having this tree cut down but also for insurance payments in case someone is injured by the negligence of the City. Not cutting down this tree is negligence. Your failure to take care of this matter may result is personal or property damage for which you will have to pay - which means I will have to pay. Please take care of this issue. Thanks.

It looks from a duplicate of this issue that it is marked as a priority 1.

What more can I say. This issue has been outstanding for 151 days. Guess the City of New Haven would rather pay insurance claims than cut down my tree. So whoever Urban Forester is - I guess that I will wait years. Maybe I will stop paying property taxes for years.

More branches fell down during yesterday's windstorm!!

Tree still needs to be cut down. Maybe this spring.

Tree still there. Branches still falling.

Branches of all sizes keep falling down, especially over the past 3 weeks with the storms. Luckily no one has been killed and so far no property damage.

Still outstanding. Branches fall off with every wind storm. The tree is dangerous to life and limb (no pun intended) and it has been a year, a notice was posted in June and nothing has been done. So I will keep reporting.

Tree still falling down. Its been 391 days. Last June a notice was posted on the tree. Nothing has been done. Someone will be hurt because of the City's negligence but what do they care.
