When I lived at Cameron Court a few years ago, a man would blow the trash and leaves into the street, across the street or onto neighboring property, but at 4 or 5am! They were never a good neighbor. They also had a problem with panhandlers and homeless drinking on their property. Thank you for reporting this. You want to adjust something the neighbors don't like, don't blow your trash onto their property!!!! Did you seriously just request that?

Chill out people - maybe David hired the guy and he isn't aware of what the guy is doing (that appears to be contradictory to the orders he's given him) and wants to hear about it so he can take appropriate action.

The city only vacuums up leaves 2-3 times a year in the fall and winter. Otherwise they will pick up yard waste weekly but the yard waste needs to be in trash cans at the curb on the morning of pickup.

I have two problems with the owner's reply. 1. As Meredith stated, leave collection is rare. David's father was the Mayor of this city. For David Meeker to make such a ludicrous comment is ridiculous.

2. For David Meeker to request a meeting to neighbors to ask them what can be adjusted or what is wrong is ludicrous. The history shows otherwise, he doesn't care. This is an obvious attempt to show the court his willingness to work with neighbors if slapped with a law suit.

The City of Raleigh needs to slap a heavy fine on David Meeker.

I can't tell if this is one person who is mad at the yard man and making up multiple profiles or if this is a bigger problem. Since it doesn't sound like a meeting on site is going to happen, I am going to cancel the yard man for now and make a plan down the road.

I am just one neighbor and homeowner nearby. For you to blatantly lie about your person blowing trash into piles for collection is appalling. Appalling! You have multiple businesses, why lie? The City doesn't collect business refuse. I hope the landowner at 810 West Hargett sues you! They have most of the community behind them.

Folks, give David a break. He's just trying to resolve the problem. I'm not so sure the trees are on his property anyway.Street cleaners come thru every night to clean. Both Mayor Charles Meeker and David are gentlemen. The city of Raleigh needs to give David an honor for turning that building into something nice like jobs and lots of taxes being paid.

Raymond, he needs to obey the law. I live across the street. This guy has been blowing trash into the street, and across the street. I have personally witnessed the man who comes here every Saturday morning and I have also witnessed confrontations between people walking their dogs and this man. He blows the trash away, never has and never has swept it up. I didn't report this issue but maybe I should have. I am supporting the person who did the right thing by snapping a pic and reporting this to the City of Raleigh. There are copious See Click Fix reports going back for years about this problem so the owner of the property obviously is well aware of it. I hope the City of Raleigh deals with it strongly enough that it will not happen again. And for the record, the property remains a blight. Every time I had bad pizza and bad service I can always expect to be accosted by the group of homeless drunks that ask you to buy them Cisco Wine or Wild Irish Rose. Have a great day.

There will be no more leaf blowing at all on the property. We will still pick up trash and find another solution for the leaves in the fall. I would still like to have the in person meeting but understand that might not be possible right now. Sorry for the hassle to the neighbors, that certainly wasn't our intent.

Well I bet some people honestly think this property is great. Neither Trophy nor the C-Store is the source of the drunk vagrants you're referring to so it's kind of misleading to just slide that comment in there like you did. Maybe you're confusing the Morgan West with the Cornerstone Center down the street. In any case, Trophy says there will be no more leaf blowing, so I guess there is nothing more to see here. I recall the property being served a public nuisance abatement last year. Such a shame, that place really has potential but is a blight. From the graffiti, to the trash, to the drunk men who approach women, it's just a terrible place. Hopefully with the new 'Trophy' places downtown, this one will close up and that whole center can be bulldozed.
