The goal is to mow easements once a month throughout the summer. Sometimes if turf is to wet due to rain, an easement might get missed during a rotation. If the turf is to wet our mowers can cause large ruts. Our summer crews started at the beginning of May and had a few weeks of training and now they are working their way through the mowing rotations. If this easement hasn't been mowed yet it should be soon. I will pass on your concern to the Mowing Lead Hand who works in your neighbourhood just to make sure it wasn't accidently missed. Unfortunately, the size of our mowing equipment does not allow us to mow any closer to the fence. There is also a concern that if we went closer we might risk damaging utility boxes, water standpipes and cable lines that are installed along the fence. We have our Pest Management crew go through every easement throughout the city to spray any weeds considered Noxious under the Weed Control Act. If there are any Noxious Weeds growing behind your fence they should be controlled by the city soon. Thanks for using SeeClickFix!
