Thanks for posting! I, too, have observed full trash bags and large items along Wintergreen Brook, below the Wintergreen Ave bridge, as well as along Springside Ave between Common Ground and Westville.

Kat, the problem is the police dont ever catch the dumpers, mainly because they dont try. The city could invest in just two or three high quality cameras(AKA game cameras) that are mounted (temporarily) in trees or on poles, put them in problem areas around town and catch the dumpers EXTREMELY EASILY but they choose to do nothing. These cameras could be moved around every few weeks by ONE person to problem spots all around the city, instead they just continue to pay a CREW of Parks and Rec people to go around and clean up after the criminals on the taxpayers dime.

Yea I understand that its not necessary to have the cameras and its nice to know that they actually dont work as well as they say, but I would like to at least get help from the city or anywhere else to clean up the trash. We already picked up trash and filled 6 big trash bags. There is so much trash and we dont have the resources to get rid of the big items. Because of the upcoming plans to create a path, Wheel chair access and also create bird habitat for Wintergreen brook We need as much help as possible. We also plan to have pictures of the community members and some students Along the road saying ¨Don't dump on me¨ or something like that so that people know that Wintergreen brook is a place that you should respect like any other area that involves nature.
