Deskripsyon

This intersection has been particularly bad for cars speeding through yellow/red lights, sometimes even after the pedestrian lights change. The intersection needs a camera to catch drivers running the light.

Traffic headed eastbound on Mass down the hill regularly speeds and run the lights all the way down to 9th street.

I've resided on this block for 10 years and cannot count the number of times I have been within seconds of death if not for my awareness and quick reaction to vehicles not obeying traffic signals and altogether disregarding red lights and pedestrians. A few years ago the signals at 12th and Mass Ave NW were timed to ease congestion, but vehicular traffic has increased significantly. Our neighborhood needs to make use of traffic cameras at numerous intersections where this issue is a problem.
