As someone who lives here, I disagree. I have to drive the length of Wooster Street to get home, and am often stuck behind cars that are double parked, or driving along at 2 miles per hour looking for a parking space. In the mornings when the street is deserted, we residents would still have to deal with the speed bumps. I previously lived somewhere that had residential speed bumps, and it was extremely frustrating and caused unnecessary wear and tear on our cars.

What I think Wooster Street does need are pedestrian crossings that are well marked, thoughtfully placed and utilized by visitors. There would also need to be enforcement of the crosswalks (i.e., ticketing drivers who enter a crosswalk when there is a pedestrian there, towing cars that park in the crosswalk), which does not currently happen.
