Today is Friday. The regularly scheduled street sweeper came by and, again, redistributed the bits of broken blacktop all over the road and into our driveways. Unsatisfactory.

Please cause the streets where the Crack Repair operations have been conducted to be thoroughly vacuumed clean. Pick the gravel and tar up and transport it out of our neighborhoods. Call it preventive maintenance, because otherwise the material will move to the gutters and be washed down the drainage system and cause clogging of the system (assuming it ever rains again in Corona.)

This complaint system is too detached. It creates the aura of satisfying the citizens, it allows officials to respond that we are "responsive" but all it is is outsourcing your responsibility to respond and fix things.

I apologize that your request was closed without the issue being resolved to your satisfaction first. I am currently working with our Public Works Engineering group to resolve this issue for you. Thank you for using SeeClickFix to report this issue. To close the loop, our Public Works Engineering group went out to the site and has spoken with the contractor. They will also get the street in question swept again by the street sweeper. The crack sealing is the first piece of the process. The sealant is applied and needs to settle in place. After it is allowed to settle over several months, the next process is preparation of the street for slurry seal, which will entail some additional grinding and then the final sealing. Street signs will be posted prior to this work. We thank you for your patience during this process while we work to improve the streets in the City.
