  I received an email that this issue is "closed", but it isn't posted here. The City of Oakland worker was in truck #4935 and up on a lift at the light pole at 10:45 AM on November 12, 2020. He wasn't repairing the high-pressure sodium light as I requested above, he had removed it and replaced it with a LED fixture. In 1996, I filled a petition, "STREET LIGHTING ILLUMINATION LEVEL (RESIDENTIAL AESTHETIC) PETITION" This December 1996 petition establishes a lower illumination level at my address, 3233 Randolph Avenue. I explained this to the city worker and I objected to the installation of a higher level of the LED light as a violation of the filed petition. He showed me his work order. My request, shown above, was highlighted with a yellow marker. I asked him why he did not fulfill my request. He responded, "I follow my supervisor's orders." I asked him, "What's wrong with the sodium light, was it the photo cell". He did not respond. He said, " Do you want to put the old light back?" I responded, "Yes". He said, "It can be rebuilt". He then said, "I'll call my supervisor." Then he stated, "We'll take care of it." I walked back to my home and he left the worksite.

  We filed our "STREET LIGHTING ILLUMIINATION LEVEL (RESIDENTIAL AESTHETIC) PETITION" in November 1996 before the Electrical Division's December 1, 1996 deadline for petitioning for NOT having an LED light installed affecting my address.

  The city worker did not finish the work and did not pay any attention to my request to repair the street light fixture in place . I requested of the city worker, on site, to re-install the high-pressure sodium light. He stated, "It can be be "repaired". He also stated," We'll take care of it." I don't appreciate being deceived by City of Oakland employees. I'm a City of Oakland volunteer and a taxpayer. Our 1996 Electrical Division petition for aesthetic lighting is still legal and binding for lower illumination at my address 3233 Randolph Avenue. I require that the City of Oakland conform to it's own policies and procedures.

  Tonight, I went out to objectively access the LED light with all of my yard lights turned off. The LED fixture focuses the light much more than the old high-pressure sodium light. The old light had a wide dispersion field. So, after due consideration, I am canceling my request for the re-installation of the old street light fixture.

  However, it is my understanding that there is a shade that can be installed on the LED fixture head. I would like a shade installed on the light fixture A7130. Thank you.
