Description
There is a tree in front of our property on the other side of the sidewalk next to the road (I am told that is the city’s property) that is infested with cockroaches. We came home last night to about 20+ all around the sidewalk and 10-15 more just coming out of the holes in the bottom of the tree. I know there has been some tree removals on our street and I believe this one is a high priority to be removed. I went out this morning and with them being nocturnal creatures there was only like 8-10 on the sidewalk. I will try and capture pictures tonight of how bad it gets. Please help.

These are likely "wood roaches" which live on and in rotting wood. The roaches themselves, while not a welcome sight, may be of less concern than the indication that the tree is rotting. This tree could drop limbs on property or on people as it continues to decay. The roaches may also be of concern for construction projects in the area as they will look for other wood rot nearby and move in.
