I agree. My home is on the other side of 37 and the burnt rubber smoke from their tires comes in my upstairs windows.

The city does not currently have a funded Traffic Calming program, I will look at traditional methods to help reduce the speeding/exhibitions.

The City's Participatory Budget typically has a city-wide traffic calming project as one of the candidates that you can support. If funded, a traffic calming project will be funded for the following fiscal year.

This is not about traffic calming, this is about enforcement of traffic laws, of which Vallejo has virtually none.

The police can't do nothing. By the time they come they're gone. A round about needs to be installed. Speed bumps needs to be installed.

And how can this issue be closed when nothing has been done? I called the police on Wed about 2 cars doing donuts and revving they're engines in this intersection. I've spoke to the police and they say traffic engineering has to resolve this issue with safety items.

There is currently no funding for traffic improvements such as traffic circles/roundabouts, as mentioned in the previous post the Participatory Budget Process is a way to get traffic calming improvements funded. Unfortunately until there is a funded project to install these types of improvements, traditional traffic improvements such as stop or speed limit signs, crosswalks etc. would not prevent someone from making these illegal movements. I will discuss the matter with our Police Traffic Section to see if there is a way residents can report the vehicle (description/license plate) and have a letter sent to the registered owner as a warning.

We need new leaders for Vallejo! If keeping Vallejo clean and respectable isnt the agenda we need to make it so ourselves. We have the same issue in Lofas Lakeside you cant even see the yellow lane dividers anymore and daily trash is being left as a local dump site. I've sent emails to VPD Traffic, Vallejo Engineering, Code enforcement etc and the all route you to the other division getting nothing done.

Perhaps the city can consider stiffer fines for donuts. This is not the only corner.

Enforcing the current laws will be appreciated.

Make this a felony. Sick of those punks.
