This is actually on Mt. Vernon where Vernon Oaks Dr T's into Mt. V. This is at the bottom of a hill and it appears to be below the closest storm drain.

It looks as if it had just rained in the picture so some puddling would not be unexpected. The road is very flat in this area and we are aware that some water remains for a period after rain. This is caused by the existing drainage flume not being at the low point of the road. The drainage will be improved as part of the adjacent intersection project scheduled to begin early next year.

Hi. This issue does not appear to be fixed. The flooding extends well beyond the bike lane into the rest of the lane. It is beyond what is to be expected hours after rain stopped. It continues to present a hazard to bike riders as there could be hidden additional dangers in the standing water (such as glass, road debris, etc) and it causes them to veer into motor vehicle traffic, which then presents a danger to both drivers and bike riders. It also creates a negative pedestrian experience. I understand if this is not going to be fixed for awhile due to other improvements happening on the road, but I would prefer if this issue stays open until it is fixed so that there is public recognition that a danger exists. Thanks.

The City of Dunwoody has received this issue, as service request #5551. Currently, we are working on this, please check back for status updates.

Hi, I see that you put a prioritized work order on this issue in February of 2019. However, no changes have been made to either spot and they continue to present hazards and unacceptable conditions as outlined above, exacerbated due to the need for social distancing and increased bike/pedestrian activity during the pandemic. Could you please let us know how and when this will be remedied? It has been more than 4 years since my first report of it. Thanks.
