By my office on Nashdene RD/Markham Rd, is this track crossing and by the looks of things haven't been used nor any indication they get used with the defunct old caboose blocking the line from the CPR yard.
For the last year I see vehicles come down the hill and slam to a standstill to cross which vehicles behind them often don't anticipate such a slowdown and themselves need to slam on their brakes. Or vehicles fly over them and the condition o the tracks is a public concern. The rails are breaking up leaving spiky edges which could cause a puncture for a fast driver and the reason drivers go see them slow right down to cross them. It's right at the bottom o the hill do there's even more force on the tires hiring the rails.
Is there any maintenance planned for this safety hazard?

They removed the old caboos but nothing else. After the original article in The Star, I saw some activity of maintenance people but seeing the car their hitting the yard that was apprehended a week or two after, it appeared to focused on improving security measures.
The tracks are still a real bad traffic hazard.

Again nothing still and the conditions are even worse. Those broken railings are more shard like and a serious issue if and when a vehicle goes over it and gets a puncture. It's bad enough drivers see the serious dilapidated crossing and come to an almost stop to go over it and vehicles behind them slam on the brakes to prevent ramming them from behind.
When will CP Rail take responsibility and fix them?
