This is the alley between the 800 blocks of 5th and 6th Streets NW. It is the part of the alley that runs east-west, not north-south. The map location is a bit off.

This alley is a health hazard for the community. In its present state, it's an ideal breeding ground for rodents. There are several restaurants that open into that alley putting a lot of people at risk for illness.

What is DC doing to address this?

Nothing. It's gotten worse since this was posted. More waste, more people urinating in this alley and the alley on next street.
