Descrição
The business at 301 Dale Street (27605) dumps its garbage, garbage/recycle carts and containers, and yard waste on a separately subdivided adjacent lot at 1220 Pierce Street that is not permitted for off-site storage of garbage/waste from 301 Dale Street. Further, the garbage/recycle carts are placed in the front yard of the property at 1220 Pierce Street, directly across the street from residential homes, within 15 feet of the right of way, and without any screening which is in violation of City Code. The foregoing visually detracts from the aesthetic character of the neighborhood (see attached pictures) and in summer months rank and foul odors persist for days and weeks on end making for unsafe environmental conditions. Accordingly, the City should require that the property and building at 301 Dale Street contain its garbage, recycling, and yard waste to the confines of the property located at 301 Dale Street, move and discontinue placing garbage and/or garbage/recycle containers or carts of any sort on 1220 Pierce Street, and report back to this post that such action - or other appropriate remedial action - has been taken by the City Inspections Department within 10 business days.

@045uyhrgl83 Thank you for the history, I didn't know all of that. I have to agree with you after reading your comment.
Those parking areas are a haven for people hanging out, I can only imagine how easy it would be to pull in and dump whatever without being seen.

Is the city not following up on quality of life-type violations on see click fix any longer? Aren't actions (or lack of action) like what's described here against city ordinances?
Is that why there is no way to report such in the new Categories on SCF, except for the Note to Neighbors, which is not going to cut it. It's near impossible to get landlords to do anything unless the city addresses the problem.

To the City of Raleigh and SeeClickFix:
Do not close this matter without a detailed response as to why, which so far has not been provided. If residents cannot use SeeClickFix to report issues of concern or code violations to the City (and the per the COR's response in closing this matter only the City can address locations "maintained by the City" and "only the City uses SCF to track issues in our area") . . . then please take the entire website down so residents do not waste any more time with SCF as this statement suggests SCF is only for use by the City in reporting problems located in the City of Raleigh (which is entirely non-sensical). SCF is supposed to be a portal for use by RESIDENTS of the City of Raleigh. Otherwise, we will just start calling and emailing the Inspections Department directly and SCF is completely useless. Please advise if that is what we should do in the future instead of using SCF.
Further, this matter does not involve "Street issues / potholes / trash on highway – NCDOT."
It does not involve "Wires: Duke Energy Progress"
It does not involve AT&T: (800) 222-0300; Time Warner Cable.
It also does not involve Streetlights: Duke Energy Progress.
This SeeClickFix matter (request ID 277121, 277407, and 277439) involves the use of property within the City's jurisdiction at 1220 Pierce Street that appears to clearly violate codes and standards for storage and disposal of trash, rubbish, and/or recyclable material (codes and standards which have been provided to the City in this SeeClickFix thread).
Please do not respond to this matter acknowledging the complaint and then closing it for a 4th time a mere hour later by simply suggesting we call someone else to address this concern that has no authority to do so. Duke, TWC, AT&T, and NCDOT have no authority to address the issue raised which the COR should investigate and confirm in connection with the violation of codes and standards for storage and disposal of trash, rubbish, and/or recyclable material which should be enforced by the City of Raleigh and is the very purpose of SeeClickFix to bring such matters to the City's attention so they can be timely and rightly corrected.
Please identify which "Verified Official" on behalf of the City acknowledges this matter further (and any such "Verified Official" who is listed as closing this matter), and include email and phone contact information so that we may follow-up directly to inquire as to the reasons why this matter is being "acknowledged" and then immediately thereafter "closed" with no action being taken to even investigate the matter or even ensure this complaint is routed to the proper channels to be properly addressed by the City of Raleigh.

@045uyhrgl83
Thanks for being persistent. I'm beginning to think this is simply a matter of the damn Categories. This was originally filed under Obstructions etc., I imagine because there was NO place to put it in otherwise.
So the City keeps sending an auto reply that this isn't their land to address...
If this is indeed the case, a real live person should direct us in how to get this properly routed.

Please re-read the original complaint at the top of this post.
The original complaint in this post is not that the owner was leaving the carts ON THE STREET after the Thursday pick-up of garbage and recycle. However, they do leave the carts out until at least Saturday and Sunday on regular occasion. That's the least of the violations.
The original complaint was about the location where the garbage and recycle carts are stored on 1220 Pierce (as opposed to on 301 Dale Street where the garbage/recycle is produced) and the fact that 1220 Pierce is used as a garbage and recycle dumping ground in a manner not permitted by the Code.
I will keep this matter open UNTIL the complaint originally posted is actually addressed AND corrected. Inspection staff visiting and checking on a Thursday to see that garbage and recycle carts have been returned to the property timely is NOT what the original complaint is about and is not responsive.
I will keep this post open until someone reviews and responds to the issues raised in the original complaint.

045uyhrgl83 & glenwoodian: While your persistence is admirable, this is not an issue suitable for reproting on the SeeClickFix software, due to the inherent limitations of all software systems.
Allow me to suggest that you both give me an old fashioned telephone call which would be more efficient that continual postings and repostings and the resultant frustrations. My number is (919) 996-4275. Louis Buonpane, City Manager's Office. Look forward to hearing from each of you.
