I go running early every morning and consistently see cars parked on the sidewalk at this one apartment complex. It clearly shows stripeage for no parking but these people don't seem to care. I have seen it during the day as well. What can be done about this? Not only is it greatly inconvenient for pedestrians, strollers and the like, but its also illegal!

Thanks for posting. Agreed, this is illegal, annoying and creates an unsafe situation. My daughters ride their bikes on this route to school and have trouble seeing around the car and often have to ride nearly i into the street to get past whenever a car is parked on the sidewalk. I think one thing to do would be to call the NHPD non-emergency line at 203-946-6316 and put a complaint in every time you see this occur at this address. Give them the plate number and say there's a car parked on the sidewalk and request it be ticketed or towed. I will do the same and encourage others to do so as well. Hopefully together we can move PD to action and people will get the idea.
Another - or tandem - route to explore is to contact the owner or property manager and ask them to circulate a letter to residents that NHPD will ticket sidewalk parkers. It appears to be owned by Bishop Enterprises, c/o Havanly Enterprises, LLC of 37-39 Trumbull St. in New Haven, but I haven't found a phone number yet.
