I would like to follow up with this and note that street lights are still out on Elm Street between Willow Ave and Banks Street. Thank you.

I was told that the twin lights have not been repaired. I have contacted Nstar, Bill, Tracy, David and Dana. They replied back to me this morning. Per David Amann: Assigned it to Dana to Repair lights .

Since May I have called and then waited and called and waited and now between Elm and Highland Ave of 5 lamps only 2 currently work. The entrance to Kennedy park is dark. The parking lot and walkway between the park is also dark due to this lack of Nstar doing what has been asked, both directly by my calling and now for months this way after 2 or more direct calls to Somerville city hall. They are ignoring us due to the time and cost involved. I believe they hope when taken over by a new utility they won't have to be bother.

Hi Peter, you can report street lights that need to be fixed directly to the City of Somerville by emailing 311updates@somervillema.gov. We will then contact Nstar to make sure that they get fixed.

Now January 1 2012 perhaps someone will care enough to deal with this safety issue and Im tired of telling Somerville City hall of the lack of care NSTAR!! seems to have for people who care and notice!!

Nope nothing has been done I expect only after a lawsuit or issue related to safety will ever make them do a thing!! My city has given up and now will out source the maintenance! What a company of ignorance! NStar you are DIMMING Daily!!!

Wow almost a year and a half later and still no lighting on this street!! What progress!! NSTAR you suck and the city has done nothing to help or insist that this safety issue be resolved!! I'm amazed that this issue has been ignored all this time!! People complain and ask city hall to put pressure on these idiots responsible for the lack of action to secure this dark unsafe area!!
