I would like to assist in this. I am the South Community Affairs Coordinator for the South Precinct with the Metro Police Dept. Could you call me to ellaborate on what noises were heard and/or observed. Vehicle's cutting through with loud music? or other types? I look forward to speaking with everyone! 880-3182
residents of Bradford Hills suffer from noisy cars driven from people who cut through the subdivision - both engine noise from remodeled powertrains and stereos to the max - at night! It should be an easy fix - a patrol on sight during nights for a week.
We have recently conducted extra patrol in the area and could extend it if neccessary. I would like to suggest as soon as you hear the noise call the non emergency number (862-8600) and request to either speak to an officer or remain nameless. If the noise is too loud the property owner could be issued a citation for excessive noise. Hope this help and again if you need anything please contact me at my office, 880-3182. Thank you for your awareness in your neighborhood!
If you have not been notified, Sgt. Schmitz, last week a drunk driver ran into the side of a house at the corner of Bradford Hills Dr and Bradford Hills Cove. After talking to the home owner, I believe this fellow was one of the cut thru drivers who have their stereos booming.
Yes, I have seen more patrols, and actual traffic stops. However, these have been during the daylight hours, and not during the night. Could we have a weeks worth of night patrols where the noise violators, speeders, and drunk drivers impacting our neighborhood be addressed?
I will pass along the request to both the evening and midnight shift's for extra enforcement and patrol's in the area when I get back to the office on Tuesday. Have a good and safe holiday weekend.
Excellent. Advise them the worst times are approximately 10:30-12 at night, then 2-5am. Fridays and Saturdays are the worst nights.
I will be calling with a list of vehicles descriptions.
I appreciate you letting us know of the activity. I have notified the area supervisor asking for assistance with your concerns and asked for additonal officer presence in the area to enforce neighborhood concerns. Thanks again!!
