Laydon Industries continues to crush rocks in this neighborhood area despite a cease and desist order from the City of New Haven -- from which it receives contracts! Air quality is severely compromised, and the noise levels are high. Would a company ever try to get away with this in a rich neighborhood? NO!

The crosswalks surrounding John C. Daniels School are fading and nearly nonexistent. The one on Baldwin street is almost gone. Please may these be repainted ASAP?!

This is soooo inspiring. A group of men on my block have come together and with their shovels and personal snow blowers, the are digging/plowing the one block that seperates us from the main street that has been plowed. They're halfway done. There is a man who lives across from me who started this effort with his snow blower and he has a truck with a snow plow on a truck - not big, but if he can get his truck out, then they may make it to the main road. Now they may not be able to finish ... but I am grateful that they are pulling together in a collective effort to help each other out and do something for this neighborhood.

CELEBRATING!!! These 6 dirt bikes were confiscated on ONE SWEEP off of Truman Street last night!!! GOOD WORK NHPD and GOOD PEOPLE OF TRUMAN STREET. The system can work if you work the system, but it starts with building a relationship of trust. Thank you NHPD! Special shout out to Lt. Jason Minardi and the District 3 Officers .. YOU ROCK!!!!

Car painting and repairs. The smell of the paint is so extreme we have to close our windows. Car body work with electric tools, grinding and sanding. In addition to racing engines into the night and all weekend, along with loud music. This is going on 7 days a week. Please put a stop to this.

Our street has not been plowed. We haven't seen or heard a snow plow. But the intersection of Columbus Avenue has been plowed.

From 193 Putnam street to 201 Putnam street curb side is losing dirt falling into street.

Near 51 Lines st and frank st new haven ct this flatbed has been parked without being moved for weeks . Is a hazard due to the fact that is parked way too closed to the fire hydrant.

the dog at 637 Washington doesn't stop barking and the owners seem ro think this is normal/acceptable. he's kept outside all day and barks at anything that moves. this is a quality of life issue for neighbors in this densely populated area.

At this intersection there is a school, a very busy Chinese greasy spoon, a police substation and a grocery store. I watched a group of kids coming from the store and heading to the playground behind the school stand for 5 minutes waiting to cross until they finally stepped out into traffic forcing the cars to stop or hit them.

Dirt bike confiscated!!! I called in about a dirtbike going the wrong way down Truman Street earlier that almost hit my moving vehicle ... just a few yards from my house! About 1.5 hours later I saw that same dirt bike being offloaded from a pickup truck to the rear of 29 Truman where they do illegal auto repair. I videotaped and took still shots of the dirt bike and driver. After explaining to NHPD dispatch that I understood the 'no chase' order and contrary to her opinion, that if citizens knew where dirtbikes are being kept we are ENCOURAGED to call NHPD with location and YES NHPD can do something. After texting our off-duty District Mgr J Minardi with the info, Ofc Galvan arrived and I showed him video. 2 sqad cars came to provide backup and they confiscated this dirtbike. I thank our Hill South Officers for being responsive and encourage my fellow citizens to be persistent! One less dirtbike on the street!!!
