When returning home from walking my dog last week there was a crew with MA plates working in front of my house. They told me they were repairing frost heaves on the sidewalk. Our driveway was left with cement(?) footprints and the apron is a mess. The mess continues up Stevenson Road from the intersection of Spencer Place on. I walk this sidewalk twice daily and have never noticed any frost heave. There is a place where the sidewalk is actually caving in which is a hazard and a few places where sidewalk sections have become very uneven, but the crew told me this was not something they handled. I know there was NO issue in front of our house. Several neighbors are unhappy with the mess left in front of their houses, especially since we didn't see any need for the service. I did try to call the Public Works Director, but his mailbox has been full. Seems like a waste of taxpayer money.
