New Haven Regional Water Authority acknowledges a discoloration and high level of minerals in our water for last few days/ weeks. They have given me several reasons for this- firefighters, holiday, street sweeping. They have yet to put a statement on their site about how to fix this- reduce usage, do not run water- or alert the city to make a statement. They state the water is SAFE except for: (from site)

"Is Temporarily Discolored Water Harmful to Drink?
Some people may be more vulnerable to substances in drinking water than the general population. Those people who are immuno-compromised, such as people with cancer undergoing chemotherapy, those who have undergone organ transplants, have HIV/AIDS or other immune system disorders, some elderly and infants can be particularly at risk from infections. These people should seek advice from their health care providers about drinking water that is discolored. It is a personal choice whether or not to use the discolored water. If you choose to drink it, fill a container, put it in your refrigerator to chill and let the minerals settle to the bottom. When ready to drink, use the clear water from the top of the container. "

This statement makes it clear to me that this is NOT good water to drink over several days or weeks, which is how long the discoloration has continued. Please call them to complain: the city needs to step up here. 203-562-4020

Glass from recycling truck still on streets

Deep and continuous potholes on the right side of Alden, going from Willard to Fountain. Impossible to avoid if there are cars coming the other way.

Big hole directly at intersection between Alden and willard, on the willard side. Hard to avoid when turning and almost caused an accident this morning.

Busses backed up at light this morning and cars pulling u turns in road. The lights changed ten times without letting Forest Rd. traffic through. Dangerous for kids.
