    CHAVIS PARK/GREENWAY - FIRE DEBRIS
    A lot of 3/16-17 DTR building fire debris is scattered throughout the Chavis Park/Greenway and threatening the stream.

    How can we best address an immediate clean up needs so as to avoid further water table pollution and having these materials trampled & tracked?

    We plan to go back over the next fews days w/ bags & gloves to assist as are able, but there is far too much for us to get it all. We will focus on paved walkways and higher-traffic pedestrian use areas, like the playground, etc. We didn't make it up to the track to see how far the polluted area extended.

  • Chavis Park Pool Raleigh, North Carolina - South Central

    (Note: Not sure if the department I reached was correct & the message was reported to the correct place.)
    Just called a City of Raleigh dept to report a water leak/water main break.

    Yesterday when walking with my family, noticed a LARGE pool of deep standing water with "activity." On sidewalk adjacent to the Chavis Park playground (near the pool.) - there is a tree in/near the middle of the pool. With all of this rain, it's going to be potentially harder to "identify." Also apologize for not taking a photo.

    If you are unable to determine the location, we could potentially meet you up there or send a photo.
