Take a photo, or preferably video footage with audio, of that red BMW( I know that vehicle well ) exhibiting its obnoxious and inordinate sonic effect, and then email an assistant chief or some ranking police officer at NHPD to demand they view said footage and enforce. Action, folks.

Hello everyone, I am the owner of the BMW. Due to the covid circumstances, my mechanic is behind schedule and has not been able to fix my car yet. I do not intend to keep the car this loud and I am working with him to get it in the shop as soon as possible to be fixed. I also intended to be away at college during this fix however under the circumstances I am home and my car is as well. I have made it a point not to drive early or late at night to not disturb anyone sleeping. Please know it will be fixed soon, sorry for the inconevience.

@Ks Thanks for posting a response, and to explain your situation. However, I wanted to point out that, if you are the owner of the red BMW, you should know that the car has ALWAYS been loud throughout the past year. It cannot be explained by your claim of needing to be fixed. I appreciate it that you try not to drive during the quiet hours ( and you shouldn't!). However, at ANY time, the noise your car produces is a pain for any household you drive by. There are young children and elderly who are more sensitive to such uproar, EVERY TIME when you exit the parking lot and hit the road. Please be considerate and fix your car, if it just needs to be fixed as you claim.

It's only getting slightly warmer and loud motorbikes are soaring up and down Whitney Ave. Since many of us are continuing to work from home, the noises make the outlook gloom.

Since your comment we have enacted an update to the ordinances that allows PD to issue greater fines ($2,000) for illegal use of Dirt Bikes and ATVs on City Streets and seize the offending vehicles. Over a dozen such bikes/ATVs were seized last year.

The City passed an ordinance that has increased fines for illegally operating vehicles such as ATVS to $2,000 and has also allowed the vehicle to be confiscated. The City has also installed speed bumps and tables in areas with high traffic.
