Northbound on Ella T Grasso Blvd between Derby Ave and Chapel Street has confusing street markings. It narrows from two lanes to 1.5 lanes, and cars are constantly jockeying for position and passing in the parking lane. It is made worse because there is no left-turn signal for cars traveling on Ella T. Grasso, so drivers don't want to wait behind cars making a left. Stand there at rush hour and watch cars fight and pass each other, because some think it is one lane and some think it is two lanes. Needs remarking.

A left turn signal on the Blvd. @ Chapel heading northbound would be helpful, in general, with this issue.
I do whole-heartedly agree, though- the wide spacing after it stops being 2 lanes allows for some very aggressive and erratic driving. Sadly, that's par for the course in New Haven, which lacks commitment to traffic enforcement.
