You know, not everyone is in the physical shape to shovel their walkway, sidewalk, driveway, etc. Nor does everyone have the disposable income to pay someone to do these things. Maybe you pay someone to dig out your vehicle, and wait for the rest to melt!
There are volunteers willing to help in these situations. You can connect through:
1) "Interfaith Care Givers" Their phone number is 203-435-0902. You can both volunteer or get your sidewalk shoveled.
You know, @Linda, not everyone is in the physical shape to traverse a completely unshoveled, treacherous, impassable sidewalk while we "wait for the rest to melt" or more likely, thaw, refreeze, and turn to ice. Nor does everyone have the disposable income to just get in their car and go anywhere they want. Maybe they have mobility issues, maybe they're handicapped, maybe they don't deserve to have inconsiderate neighbors, maybe they're just your mail carrier and they'd rather not slip and injure themselves. This is an obligation of homeownership, and an obligation of being a good citizen. Thanks Rebecca for the above resources for those who need it.
People should start saving for snow removal in the spring, Saving $5 a week for 8 months gives someone about $160 for snow removal. This would take care of a few storms
Snow removal is one of the responsibly of being a homeowner. For those who do not want to do it there are condo and apartments.
We are closing your snow issue from the past season in order to focus our attention on the 2018-2019 snow season. Each year we review your feedback and try to incorporate it into our snow operations. Hopefully you will notice an improvement. Thanks!
