Descripción
Pedestrian signal at corner of Forest and Fountain was apparently hit by a car and is now on the sidewalk. Wires in base are exposed, sign is still lit, so possible added electrocution hazard. Remaining cluster of pedestrian signals are now inoperable (walk signal does not cycle in when button is pressed).

This intersection SCREAMS for law enforcement. Has done so for *years.* Years.
The red light running, the speeding, are not to be believed, especially from and to Forest Road and Dayton Street.
Thank goodness it was (only) a crossing sign that got hit this time, and not a pedestrian. There *will* be a next time, and let us fervently hope that no pedestrian will be hit that time, either.
This downed sign obviously is a matter that the city traffic department needs to address and fix, but THE POLICE DEPARTMENT NEEDS TO PAY SOME ATTENTION HERE, ALSO.
