This ugly signage on corner bodegas is rampant all over the City. It is visual pollution, cluttering already cluttered streets and depressing property values. We must work together with neighborhood organizations and get City Council to pass an ordinance that has stiff penalties for every illegal sign. Unpaid penalties can be levied against a property. The fines collected can pay for roving surveillance teams to keep the signage from mushrooming again.
