Intersection elm and college - 9 am- City bus 347 goes full speed at red light through the intersection! I know they have to keep their schedule, but still!

There are definitely some problem drivers. Two big problems:
1) Not stopping at stop signs even when pedestrians are crossing. Have seen pedestrians and small children almost get run over.
2) Running red lights indiscriminately.
3) Speeding, especially on routes outside of Downtown. 20MPH should be the max CT Transit travel speed within local roads in New Haven.
4) Drivers who pass bicyclists and then have to either overshoot their bus stops (stopping in the middle of the road and making bus passengers cross another street to get to them), or cutting off the bikers altogether. They should just drive slowly because they do not save any time by attempting to pass a cyclist. The average bus goes about 12MPH across a city and a typical biker travels at about the same speed or slightly faster.
CT Transit should discipline these drivers before they kill more local residents.

But getting back to this, Okay you win, let's get red light cameras,THEN WHAT ? They tell a complainant that it will be all taken care of ? No need to file a complaint it's on film ? What will happen to these offenders ? Who will be the oversight, a brother or sister of a cop or bus driver ? Will they high five each other and wink that Union folk all stick together ,wink wink.
