  Example photo of a car parking in the middle of Thornhill Dr (westbound), directly across from Thornhill Elementary, blocking traffic, jay-walking across the street to drop off a child, jay-walking back, and leaving. The school has spoken to the known 'repeat offenders' multiple times but needs law enforcement to take additional action for this to stop.

  Agree. The changes to Thornhill Drive and the illegal parking/driving violations every morning have made it near impossible for neighbors to get down the road safely. My 7 minute commute has turned into a 30 minute commute! I hate to think what would happen in an emergency if people were trying to get out of the area in case of a fire. The road is completely unsafe anymore and the driving infractions by parents dropping off/picking up their kids at Thornhill Elementary are out of control every morning/afternoon. A dad walked right in front of my car today and I almost hit him as he Jay-walked across Thornhill after parking illegally across the street to jaywalk his child across and walk back into traffic blindly. Years ago there was talk of putting in a circular parking lot on the same side of the street as the school and neighbors complained. I was all for it for exactly this reason. Something needs to be done! The school has become a commuter school and not a school where students from the neighborhood walk to. So all the nice improvements they have done to the sidewalks haven't really helped anything because nobody uses them for walking to school, and the number of vehicles using the road is unsafe and chaotic for such a small neighborhood with virtually one way in and one way out.

  As a member of the Thornhill community, we really need help during our morning drop-off especially. We message everyone a million times and talk to individual people, but some continue to break the law. A round of parking tickets and moving violations would really help. Can we also consider high bumps along the yellow line to prevent u-turns? Speed bumps or humps to slow down speeders? A pedestrian stop light? Thank you for anything you can do.

  Keep traffic flowing. This is a very busy (community) corridor. The infrastructure and enforcement needs to be updated to accommodate traffic density. School crossing guard. Parked police vehicle. A meter maid. Speed limit signs. No u-turn signs. School zone signs.

  I would love to see more hardscaping in place all along Thornhill Drive. As a neighbor and community member, I have had multiple near misses with vehicles while on my bike and walking with my children. Please consider improvements for parking, safety and enforcing traffic rules.

  Lots of parking in red zones- we would really appreciate some traffic enforcement to minimize this and prioritize pedestrian safety.
