With the anticipated extra traffic on Edgewood avenue because of the work being done at the Chapel St., and Yale Avenue intersection it’s beyond imperative that the traffic signals are repaired reprogrammed replace whatever needs to happen to make them functional. We can’t expect to have safe streets for pedestrians from motorists and bicyclists if nothing works properly nothing can be relied upon. The new raise crosswalk signal in front of Edgewood school barely out of warranty is already not working. What message does that send to our young people that the city has low standards we can’t buy quality products we don’t care? Come on guys just fix the stuff once and for all Decide also be an opportune time to put out some traffic count devices to see what the two shifts are what are the traffic patterns on Route 34 on Chapel on Edgewood get some information so we can actually figure out how to improve the flow of traffic in the city. Please excuse any typos because I’m walking my dog as I dictate this.
