  • 2025 Glenwood Ave Raleigh, North Carolina - Five Points
Dead Squirrel on road... East bound
  • 401 E Martin St Raleigh, North Carolina - Central
I am not sure if this is the right category. Middle school children have to cross a busy intersection to get to Moore Square Middle. There is no crosswalk or stop sign.
  • 2000 New Hope Church Road Raleigh, North Carolina - Falls Of Neuse
I'm posting in this category because no others are appropriate. at the intersection of St. Albans and New hope Church if you are driving towards Wake Forest Rd. there is no legal way to make a left turn onto St. Albans. There is a median that needs to be removed and replaced with a left turn lane. People are forced to either make a U- turn or cut through a business parking lot in order to get onto St. Albans. I can see no logic behind this median being there. Also, I do not want to hear that this is because too many cars would be turning left and traffic might back up onto the railroad tracks. That's baloney. This needs to be corrected immediately.

  • 3721 Fernwood Dr Raleigh, North Carolina - Northwest
Downed tree branch blocking part of Fernwood Dr and top portion tangled with utility wire.
  • 211 Cox Ave Raleigh, North Carolina - Hillsborough
There is a wire or something tied around the power lines that cross over the street here. This wire is tying the lines together but the end of it is hanging down. This looks like a very poor job of trying to get the bottom line off the ground a little more. Is the wire hanging down dangerous? It appears to me that it is possible that it is hot (electrified) since it is touching several lines. It is hanging down far enough where tall vehicles could possibly touch it.

  • 201 S Blount St Raleigh, North Carolina - Central
I was helping put on an event in Moore Square this past weekend. There was a broken utility cover on the ground (water utility I guess... Oval-ish shaped.... Band aid shaped). There was a large hole in the cover. I tried to pin point on the map exactly where it was, but I could be off. We put duct tape over it for Saturday but I'm sure that will not last. This damaged cover is a tripping hazard. Also lots of the light poles in and around the square were damaged. The bases were knocked off kilter where water or hands could get inside near the wires. I noticed some on Person street as well on the opposite side of the street from the park. Also... What is up with this typing field.... If I go off this field and try to come back it is very difficult to get to the bottom where I was typing or to scroll back up to check what I've written. Doing this on an android phone. Thx!

    FIRES set deliberately......by kids

(4-5) Children ranging in ages from 5 yrs old-13 yrs old are setting objects on fire in our neighborhood. On 5/ 11-5/12, they set long plant stalks and newspaper on fire under a dilapidated, plywood framed landscape type trailer w/ hitch loaded with dry hardwood mulch. They deliberately started the fire under the trailer on dry ground. The trailer has been sitting in the same location since the 2011 tornado. This is very dangerous! This is the second episode that our neighborhood is aware of and we are VERY concerned.
A 911 call was made yesterday and the police officer met with neighbors to discuss. The police report # is: P15-025435. Please contact the City of Raleigh police with any information regarding these kids and or any suspicious activity that fits these kids or this case. The responding police officer urged anyone that has information regarding any similar activity or the whereabouts of these kids, to please call the police department. These kids have also vandalized and damaged our property over the last few months, and have also created dangerous driving "obstacle" conditions in the street on Iron Horse Rd. This situation is only going to get worse. Please notify the police dept. if you see kids that appear to be unsupervised and doing harm to our properties.
