  • Rock Creek Road New Haven, Connecticut - Amity

Speed is an issue along with the blind curve.

When approaching the curve you stand the chance of hitting an on coming vehicle. Because you have to move to the center to see if there is an on coming car. If you stay on your side of the street, you may hit a pedestrian.

Thank you for placing a traffic monitoring device on the street. Looking forward to the final outcome to remedy this unsafe issue.

  • 475 Whitney Avenue New Haven, Connecticut - East Rock

Incredibly dangerous intersection for pedestrians; I've witnessed several people almost hit by cars when crossing. There is no walk signal (just pedestrian crossing lines). When crossing Whitney on the South side, you can see that northbound traffic has a red light, but you can't see that southbound traffic sometimes does not due to the offset left turn arrow, leading to pedestrians almost getting hit.

Please consider adding crossing signals or altering the pattern for this light so pedestrians don't walk into traffic; it's a lawsuit waiting to happen!

We need a speed bump at the area before someone gets hit again!
  • 178 Moreland Road New Haven, CT 06511, United States of America - Beaver Hills
Broken stop sign. Has been in this condition for 6 months since the storms last spring. It must be fixed before the snow and ice come or the melting snow and ice will not be able to drain away.
Please acknowledge this problem and schedule a repair.
    Thank you.
  • 1-99 Ann St New Haven, CT, 06519, USA - Hill
Speed bumps are extremely necessary. This street has a park and all day all year long especially in the warmer weather. Cars speed down the street, there are kids playing while these cars a speeding. They have no regards in safety of the children. Its a tragedy waiting to happen.
  • 861 Orange Street New Haven, Connecticut - East Rock
Both cars and city buses are driving way too fast trying to catch the green light at the Orange St. & Cold Spring St. intersection. I'm sure this has been brought up before, but there seriously needs to be an effective speed bump (not just a negligible hump) between the Orange & Canner and Orange & Cold Spring intersections. I have nearly been clipped numerous times in my bicycle lane and it is a serious safety issue.
  • Sea St New Haven, Connecticut - City Point
The speeding has become out of control on Sea St. at arrival and dismissal time at Sound School. The cars were driving way above the speed limit; two vehicles that stood out were a 4-door gray pickup truck and small gray car that could have been a Honda. Someone should look into speed-reducing options for Sea St. again. It is virtually impossible to pull out of our driveways safely!
  • Davenport Avenue New Haven, Connecticut - New Haven - Ward 03
It’s going to be very difficult for kids to cross the street to and from bus stops without any type of crossing guard, stop lights, or stop signs! The more people who are aware that there are no stop signs, the more traffic will begin to pick up especially during morning work commutes when employees have to be to work. Last year there were no crossing guards on Davenport Ave
  • 1296 State Street New Haven, Connecticut - Cedar Hill

We need a traffic calming measure at the intersection of State, Warren Place and I-91 Southbound entrance which is start of the Cedar Hill neighborhood.

This intersection is blind for pedestrians and vehicles. Even though there are crosswalks, drivers don't see and/or stop for people crossing and as a pedestrian it is challenging to keep an eye behind and in front as the cars can enter the ramp from either direction.

Additionally, this intersection is near several bus stops and residents of the neighborhood often need to cross this intersection in order to go to the bus stop or to return home.

  • Winchester Ave And Huntington St New Haven, CT - Newhallville
Winchester and Huntington...I'd like to express the fact that The City doesn't receive Data on NEAR misses that Happens DAILY Day and Night! Nor Do You recieve Data on unreported Hit and Runs ( possibly no Ins ) Speed in a HUGE issue in both directions. PLZ come ask Residents that see and hear the Horns, and Brakes ! Alder plz tell Residents on Huntington its a One way for Them Too !!
  • 42-52 Birch Drive New Haven, CT 06515, USA - Westville
Need a sign review of this intersection. There's no stop sign on birch - could be a one or multi way stop control. The wrong way signs at hemlock and marvel wood are hard to see and could use a review. Additionally there's no "wrong way" at birch and hemlock. There's been a lot of reports of cars driving up the wrong way. Thanks!
  • 311-429 Eastern St New Haven, CT, 06513, USA - Fair Haven Heights
I was almost hit by a car twice crossing the entrance to bella vista. There is no crosswalk here but there is a sidewalk. I looked both ways before I turned but because of cars parked on the side of the road it's impossible to see if a car is coming. Both times a car came turning into Bella Vista very fast without slowing down and nearly hit me. The first time the car continued even though they saw me and I had to jump out of the way. The second time the car stopped when they saw me. This is a very dangerous intersection that should have a crosswalk with a walk signal for pedestrians!! Please assess to prevent accidents.
