  • 232 Bradley St New Haven, CT, 06510, USA - East Rock
Please install stop signs on Lincoln street at Bradley street intersection. Cars frequently speed on both Lincoln and Bradley streets. I have nearly been run over several times, and have nearly been hit several times while trying to back out of my driveway.
  • Chapel St & Yale Ave New Haven, CT, 06515, USA - Westville
Blinking traffic light is not safe. Switch light to traditional red/yellow/green to slow traffic. Yale Ave is very unsafe due to cars speeding through residential neighborhood. Several speed bumps would solve problem at low cost to city.
  • Pine & Ferry St New Haven, Connecticut - Chatham Square
This is the original click fix #4816099. The intersection of Pine & Ferry St continues to be a dangerous crosswalk for everyone that crosses at this intersection. This was reported back in August and nothing has been done yet to install a cross light.
  • 102-112 Ashmun St New Haven, CT, 06511, USA - Dixwell
I've posted this before, only to have it not responded to and archived, but THERE NEEDS TO BE A TRAFFIC AND WALK LIGHT AT THE INTERSECTION OF ASHMUN STREET AND LOCKE STREET!!! It's become a very dangerous intersection on weekdays, and with the new store right there at that location, it makes it even worse. PLEASE AT LEAST RESPOND TO THIS, THIS TIME. Thank you.
  • 188 Lawrence St New Haven CT 06511, United States - East Rock
Motorcycle gangs speeding up street, over sidewalks and lawns. Headed up to Prospect and Newhallville. Better take care of this NHPD.
  • Valley St & Emerson St New Haven, CT, 06515, USA - New Haven
Speeding, and too many accidents in this area. we would like a speed hump or a traffic light to be installed, to help pedestrians and home owner stay safe.
  • 20 Kenny Drive New Haven, CT - Quinnipiac
Called and requested for the past few years to have speed humps installed on street.
  • 540 Whalley Avenue New Haven, CT - Edgewood
There are five 12ft decorative lamp posts on Whalley Ave between ETG Blvd & Pendleton St without power. These lamps were formerly powered by adjacent store fronts, however at some point this was disconnected. An investigation for a solution is ongoing.
  • 108 Springside Avenue New Haven, Connecticut - West Rock
At a CMT meeting held at Sheridan School last week and also concerns expressed previously on See Click Fix by residents of Springside Avenue, Mayor Harp said a traffic study would be made soon about issues of speeding, high volume of cars and trucks, etc would be started very soon.
As of today, May 14th nothing to my knowledge has taken place.
Please keep your promise Mayor Harp.
  • Rock Creek Road New Haven, Connecticut - Amity

Speed is an issue along with the blind curve.

When approaching the curve you stand the chance of hitting an on coming vehicle. Because you have to move to the center to see if there is an on coming car. If you stay on your side of the street, you may hit a pedestrian.

Thank you for placing a traffic monitoring device on the street. Looking forward to the final outcome to remedy this unsafe issue.

  • 585 Prospect Street New Haven, Connecticut - Prospect Hill

This is an extremely dangerous intersection. People routinely speed along Highland up and over this hill, with no regard for other traffic or the pedestrian activity stemming from the adjacent elementary school and family apartments. I would propose a stronger police presence here, especially during the hours of school pick-up and drop-off.

Furthermore, it is impossible to see up over the hill in order to make a safe left-hand turn onto Prospect Street, coming from either direction on Highland. This makes the intersection still more dangerous, with drivers attempting to turn essentially blindly, or even stopping in the middle of the intersection to wait for a break in traffic to turn (in which case the drivers behind this turning car will speed around it trying to beat the yellow light). Maybe a left-turn signal could be added to this light's rotation?

  • Trumbull St & Whitney Ave New Haven, CT, 06511, USA - Yale University Campus
From about 3:45 to 5:30 pm every day, this intersection is backed up, and vehicles jump the light and remain in the pedestrian crosswalk, which is equally heavily traversed by workers leaving work who walk and don't drive. Some pedestrians walk behind the cars, some in front, some cars attempt to back up hitting them, some move forward, and havoc ensues b/c vehicles attempting to drive north or turn on right on Trumbull feel enraged the intersection is blocked, and then cars jockey all with many pedestrians trying to navigate what appears to be adult bumper cars. A DO NOT BLOCK INTERSECTION sign should be placed across from Phelps Triangle park, and/or a police man directing traffic from 4 to 5 would help. The last two weeks it has been treacherous for pedestrians to cross there and many have had close calls. Drivers sitting and idling in crosswalks should also be ticketed. This is an injury or fatality ready to happen!
