  City of New Haven Snow Information Line: 203-946-7669  There is no parking on any posted snow emergency route or 25 feet from any intersection, bus stop, or fire hydrant during a declared snow emergency. Ticketing and/or Towing will be enforced.  The City of New Haven is preparing for snowfall on Wednesday March 21, 2018, and a citywide parking ban of all posted emergency snow routes (both sides of the street) and the odd side parking on residential streets will go into effect at 6PM Wednesday March 21st.  Citywide Parking Ban  The City of New Haven will institute a CITYWIDE PARKING BAN on all SNOW EMERGENCY ROUTES – which includes all downtown streets, bounded by MLK/State/George/Howe – and the ODD side of RESIDENTIAL streets in New Haven starting at 6PM Wednesday March 21st and ending for Downtown and the posted snow routes at 6PM Thursday March 22nd. The odd side residential ban will remain in effect pursuant to the conditions as they manifest.  In support of DPW snow clearance efforts, the City will be enforcing the parking ban with ticketing and towing beginning at 6PM Wednesday.  The Citywide Parking Ban also includes parking restrictions in all RESIDENTIAL areas. In RESIDENTIAL areas parking is prohibited on the ODD side of residential streets. Please park only on the EVEN side of streets.    The residential area parking ban will be enforced with Tag and Tow operations in support of DPW snow clearance and snow removal operations.    On A Residential Street: Don't be the ODD car on the block – Park on the EVEN Side!  Stay ahead of the storm and secure your emergency parking space today! Help our community cleanup effort by talking to your neighbors and sharing off street parking. By working together, we can get our city back to normal more quickly.  Please take note of the following Parking Ban timeframes for Park New Haven garages offering the $3 overnight rate:  
The Temple St and Granite Sq. (State at Audubon) garages are offering 
$3 per day parking starting Wednesday March 21st at 4PM.  All vehicles utilizing these garages must remove their cars by 8AM Friday, March 23rd.    The less cars on the road, the more effective removal operations will be!
