The garbage cans at Lincoln Square Park in Oakland Chinatown ate always overflowing, the park is really filthy. The grounds are used by more than one elementary school, as well as at least 2 middle schools. City of Oakland PWA seems to not have this location as a priority, even though the city of Oakland is happy to tout how well used the park is.

Notified About

  • 5457-5481 Claremont Avenue Oakland, California - Fairview Park
This encampment doubles in size each week. This morning there was a belligerent homeless person "batting" garbage with a stick at people and traffic. It's dangerous. If we do not address this it will grow into a whole homeless village like so many other places throughout Oakland. This is next to a park where children play!
  • Mandana Plaza Oakland, California - Lakeshore
There is feces in the sand pit at the kids playground on Lakeshore between Mandana and Prince. Also, a couple of people seem to have set up residence in the grassy area. They are living in tents.
  • 584 Mandana Boulevard Oakland, California - Lakeshore
There is a homeless tent encampment going up in the small park/playground area of Mandana Plaza. The tent has been there since at least last Friday, and there have been a growing number of items accumulating around it.
  • 1812 14th Street Oakland California - Prescott Oakland Point

Abandoned vehicle. It is a totaled car that has been parked there for over a month.

Please see attached photo. The car is wrecked, and I am not sure if it is even able to drive anywhere. Please tow it away, because it is taking space away from residents.

This parking is not a junkyard; it should be for residents. With such little parking as is, having totaled cars on the limited spaces is very frustrating.

  • 626-648 59th St Oakland, CA, 94609, USA - Bushrod
This slide has been broken for at least 5 years. Unacceptable for a playground that gets this much use.
  • Oakland Ca 94606 United States - Cleveland Heights
The slide at FM smith park has been busted for at least a year. When will this be fixed? It is such a hazard to children and they deserve to use the slide
  • 5341 B. Miles Ave Oakland, CA 94618, USA - Shafter
The homeless encampments are starting to grow bigger along the creek in FROG Park. It's starting to become a health issue with bottles of urine and feces.
  • 5534-5540 Thornhill Drive Oakland, California - Merriwood

This is a very deep and new pothole (I am familiar with many other Thornhill "favorites"). I hit it with my drivers side front tire and it blew out the sidewall (less than 8,000 miles on my tired and no previous damage). Almost $300 to replace the tire. Please don't let this happen to others.

This pothole is in a critical location as anyone turning onto Thornhill from the freeway or from Moraga Blvd will encounter the pothole -- you can't swerve to the left because you risk going into oncoming traffic. There are frequently cars parked on the right. Pothole is located on the right side of the street as you are traveling N/NE.

  • 3320 Fruitvale Ave Oakland CA 94602, United States - Dimond
The CVS parking lot on Fruitvale Avenue is nearly always blighted with litter. The community has tried for years to get CVS to have a regular, at least twice weekly, service to pick up the litter. But this has never happened. We request that the city cite and fine CVS until they have a regular, frequent service in place. Victoria Wake, Dimond Improvement Association
  • Tents Acknowledged
462 Bellevue Avenue Oakland, California - Lake Merritt

    Hi,

I've noticed that more and more tents have been assembled in the grassy area next to Bellevue Ave. There have been 6 more tents put up in the past 2 weeks. People are getting nervous to walk in that area at night. Can you please do something, it's going to ruin a public park for the entire community.

    Thanks,

  • 895 53rd Street Oakland California - Santa Fe
At the corner of 53rd and Market Street, there are two stop signs that are set TOO FAR from the actual corner on Market Street. Cars DO NOT SEE these stop signs, despite having blinking lights. In the past three days, I have seen FIVE cars blow through the stop sign. There is a school at this corner, with MANY children crossing, some without parents. This is also a family neighborhood, with lots of kids and strollers passing on their way to the nearby park. I personally have almost been hit with my stroller twice. Someone is going to get seriously hurt or killed at this intersection unless the stop signs are moved, or a stop light is put in. PLEASE address this pedestrian and traffic safety issue.
