Tonys meat market plaza. How many residential apartments are allowed in that building? When I told the code officer there was at least one apartment in the front of the building he said he was unaware of that. I think zoning and Codes needs to give a closer look at this building and see what violations are occurring. It seems very odd to have residential living right alongside commercial businesses.

Personal effects, bedding, furniture and other rubbish are stored without the required city permit described in the city's own policy/ordinance (see http://www.stpete.org/community/homelessness/ordinances_and_laws.php). The city has been made aware of this persistent rubbish heap countless times thru countless channels of communication including the Mayor's Action Center, SPPD and direct contact with city councilpersons. Either:
    1) remove the illegally stored items pursuant to the terms of the ordinance, or,
    2) consider this an official Sunshine Law request to provide a detailed explanation for the city's complacency and/or dereliction of (its own stated) duty, or,
    3) provide proof positive that the person(s) storing items in the right of way have been issued the requisite permits that allow this blighted area to remain irreversibly blighted.

This filth is getting worse. it's just disgusting. he leaves his garbage. covers an entire bench with blankets and pillows then he leaves. No. He can stay. But let's get the mess removed. Really tired of looking at it now. Homelessness is not illegal. But littering and squatting is illegal. Please enforce the law.

Zoning. Last time the Sugarroom strip club opened here Zoning and Codes tried to say nobody knew what was happening till after the fact. Well this will serve as OFFICIAL NOTICE that they are working on opening up the old strip club space because they’re out there washing off stoves etc. so please have Zoning or Code’s as well as Fure and Health or whoever it is who is supposed to be watching over these things go out and make sure they have all the correct permits. Thank you.

Someone tore the posted no trespassing sign from the ground in the city owned lot near Booker Creek. The sign location is closest to 4th St near the creek. It would be helpful if additional no trespassing signs would be placed in the lot along the creek as well since transients continue to camp near the trees and leave a mess. These trees and brush should be cut back to discourage camping and other illegal activities.

This afternoon there are six cars at one overnight rental house. This is the problem with nightly motels in a neighborhood. We will continue to report every time there is an issue from the tenants. Please shut down this short-term illegal rental.

1340 94th Avenue North Saint Petersburg, Florida - St. Petersburg
This is a little difficult to describe, but I will try my best. Within the past year, a new traffic light was installed at 94th Ave N and 94th Ave N. The light was installed to control new traffic created by the exit ramp from Gandy. When approaching this light coming from the neighborhoods from the West (in other words coming from First Baptist Church), the traffic light stops cars from turning left onto 94th, but still allows for cars to legally turn right on red. The issue I have is that no right turn lane was installed. If the lead car at the light is turning left, the cars behind are forced to wait for the light to turn green even if they are turning right. Now normally this would not be a problem; however, cars are beginning to drive off into the grass and pass cars on the right to get up to the light and turn right on red. This happens daily. These cars are illegally crossing a bike lane and going "off-road" to skirt the traffic held up at the light. I have almost been in 2 accidents by turning right on red while a car suddenly appears on my right side coming out of the grass area illegally. The solution - a police officer on location during the a.m. hours of 7-7:30 OR the best solution is to install a right turn lane. I am honestly surprised this was not installed during the initial planning of this intersection. Thank you for your time and consideration.
