Notified About

  • Kent Sreet Sydney, NSW - Sydney - Inner

It is still too common an occurrence that delivery drivers park in the cycleway causing a hazard to its legitimate user who have to cycle head on into oncoming traffic in order to negotiate the hazard.

This morning the driver of the van rego BSP12Y refused to move after I explained the dangerous situation he was causing.

  • 25 Hickson Road Barangaroo NSW 2000, Australia - Sydney - Inner
Cars drive into bicycle lane and merge without looking to avoid going over speed humps
  • Pyrmont Bridge Sydney, New South Wales - Sydney - Inner

    Reported here: http://www.sydneycyclist.com/forum/topics/no-ringing

Ranger giving instructions not to use a warning device to warn.

  • 1003 Upper Fort Street Millers Point NSW 2000, Australia - Sydney - Inner
Ramp off bridge - cars legally park too close to exit forcing bicycles wide onto road into oncoming traffic.
  • 25b Hickson Road Millers Point NSW 2000, Australia - Sydney - Inner
Corner of windmill and dalgety radius is to wide and vehicles take it to fast.
I've had four left hooks on this corner. Hit once.
  • Kent Street Sydney, New South Wales - Sydney - Inner
The cycleways are still being treated as temporary stopping bays by delivery drivers and other service vehicles in the city.
  • 1 Alfred Street Sydney NSW 2000, Australia - Sydney - Inner
    On George street east side.
  • 58 Druitt Street Sydney NSW 2000, Australia - Sydney - Inner

I use Druitt Street every day as a pedestrian. I have NEVER seen the 30kph speed limit enforced.

Consequently cars and busses hammer through here at 60kph+ as close as a whisker to pedestrians.

How long before another fatality in this area?

    Parked in lane
  • Sydney Harbour Bridge Cycleway Millers Point, New South Wales - Sydney - Inner

The entry/exit to the SHB is extremely unsafe and causes incidents almost daily. fast moving cycles (south bound) are forced to make sharp turns amongst slow moving (north bound) cyclists, trainers and vehicles in a confined area. Issues for the north bound cyclists include sharp turns, speed humps, traffic, trainers and the ascent onto the cycle way.

The redesign of this area cannot start soon enough. There will be a serious crash here shortly

  • 125-129 Bathurst Street Sydney NSW 2000, Australia - Sydney - Inner
It is unsafe to ride either to the far left or right of Bathurst st because of the multiple left/right turns from it. Cars will overtake at speed then cut you off if you do so. Because of this, the safest place to ride is the centre lanes so that cars wishing to turn left or right are not impeded. Drivers do not realise this is an issue of safety and feel the need to abuse cyclists on the stretch between George and Elizabeth. An east to west cycle path is sorely needed in both the north and the south of the CBD to assist cyclists make the safe journey across the city.
  • King Street Sydney, New South Wales - Sydney - Inner
Riding down King St cycle lane to enter shared overpass to Pymont Bridge you have corss Sussex St. The on ramp is not that wide and it's very hard to see where the kerb is smooth and where it is not. I rode straight into the kerb and came of my bike. Please mark the kerb so cyclists can see it.
