Illegal Dumping Archivado2701 K Street Northwest Washington, DC 20009, United States of America - Foggy BottomIt is incredibly worrisome that these encampments are constructed under bridges. I am sensitive to the needs of our homeless population. However it's hard to be vigilant about the risk of dangerous materials placed in sensitive areas like bridges and tunnels when boxes, tents and other items are crowding these areas. If a single package or bag is suspicious when left in a vulnerable area what then is an entire encampment? This is a persistent problem around this particular bridge/area. It needs more consistent monitoring by authorities. Not just reports from concerned citizens.
