    The pedestrian crosswalk across Beech Street where it intersects with Elm Street is once again full of snow. This happens after every storm, and has happened for years. It is extremely dangerous, and forces pedestrians, including parents pushing strollers, the elderly and handicapped, to walk out into traffic. I have no doubt that someone is eventually going to be hit by a car and possibly killed at this crosswalk. We have already had two people killed by cars in Porter Square --- one while walking across the street, and a second while on his bike. We don't want a third.

    Can the crosswalk be cleared of snow? And can it be cleared of snow after every storm without me and other people in the neighborhood having to complain? I've been complaining for years, and the same thing continues to happen.

    As I reported yesterday, the pedestrian crosswalk across Beech Street where it intersects with Elm Street is full of snow that the city dumped on it, forcing pedestrians to walk into traffic in order to get to the other side. The crosswalk is still blocked, by ice now, not snow, as you can see in the photo I just took, even though the city claims it has been cleared. This is extremely dangerous and happens every storm. Please clear this ASAP.
