The storm took down this large tree right next to the flagpole in Fort Wooster Park. It's just missed the swingset and is a serious hazard.

Repeated requests to address this issue: the playground in Fort Wooster is dangerous. The area has not been mulched in at least 6 years. As a result, the metal supports holding the equipment are exposed. There are tree branches exposed right next to the slides. The entire area appears to have sunk because there is no mulch that should be about 10 inches deep. A kid is going to fall and smash their face open on the exposed metal. Please, please, please show some attention to this park before a child is seriously injured.

The mulch in the playground is dangerously low. It has not been replaced in years. As you can see, it is 6 inches BELOW the minimum height requirement as noted on the playground equipment. There is CONCRETE under some of this equipment and kids are hurting themselves. The last batch of mulch that was delivered was about 4 years ago and was barely enough to cover the area. It was dumped next to the slides and that was it. Myself and a neighbor raked it into the area. The Parks Dept. needs to take care of this themselves (including the raking) before a child is seriously injured and they have a big lawsuit on their hands.

Across the street from 47 Beacon Ave. Multiple trees down from 2 storms ago. Please remove so they stop mowing around them. Do you guys talk to each other?

This tree has been laying at the corner of Beacon Ave & Clarendon for for over a month. Can it be picked up? Also, when does the Park Dept. plan on inspecting/removing the dead/dying trees lining Fort Wooster Park on Clarendon St.? Dead fall from Spring storms has never been picked up.

Thank you for paving the road. Are you coming back to fix the damage on the driveways at the top of the hill??

The minibikers and ATVs are tearing up all the work that so many volunteers have labored over in Fort Wooster. We put ourselves at risk trying to confront these "kids" on their toys who ignore the posted signs. This is HISTORIC CITY PROPERTY and nothing will keep them out until we have fencing. The Friends of Fort Wooster are trying to raise the money but that takes time. What can we do in the meantime???

Debris from the Fort Wooster park cleanup has been sitting in two piles on either side of the playground for close to two months. I have watched numerous park employees walk in, examine the piles, and leave. A 'job request' was supposedly filed, but the debris remains. The neighbors in the Fort Wooster area have taken it upon themselves to clean the park the city has all but forgotten. Please pick up the debris we work so hard to clean from the trails so that members of the New Haven community can enjoy this forgotten gem.

The Fort Wooster playground area has 1 measly trashcan and the Parks Dept. has not emptied it in 6 weeks. It is overflowing. The animals got to it so we brought out heavy garbage backs to capture the new trash...people have been using them (miraculous) but it has still not been emptied. Last week I watched two Parks employees walk right past the garbage, look at the clean-up work that The Friends of Fort Wooster group has been doing in the park, and leave...without the TRASH. Shameful. Empty the freaking garbage can already!
