Thank you for reporting this issue. An Officer for this area will investigate. Please know that, if the vehicle appears to be operable and is not wrecked, dismantled, partially dismantled, or discarded and either the Registration or the Inspection is expired, then it is not a Junk Motor Vehicle. Being operable or appearing to be operable (ie: no flat tires, no drive-train hanging under the car, etc.) and having one expired sticker is not a Junk Motor Vehicle. Being wrecked, dismantled, partially dismantled, or discarded and either the Registration or the Inspection have expired is a Junk Motor Vehicle.
The vehicle owner was notified and, per standard procedure, given 30 days from the time of notification to remedy the problem. If you have questions or comments about the process you may call Code Enforcement, 979-764-6363, and ask to speak with Officer Brooks.
