The entire length of 3rd street in downtown is one big mess- full of potholes and an incredibly rough ride. I avoid this street any time that I go downtown for fear of damaging my car. It should be an embarrassment to City Leaders who are trying to promote downtown shopping and also lure films here. Please repave this rough ride!

Please fix this mess! If you need to generate revenue to do it, here's a great suggestion: have a police officer stationed at Chestnut St & 19th St (even more so during school year!). At least 50-75% of cars DO NOT STOP at the 4 way stop sign, they cruise thru it at rather high speeds.
Annie Snipes Elementary school is a block up the street and numerous children have had close encounters with these stop sign 'scofflaws'. Put an officer there and watch the revenue flow in from tickets- forget those ridiculous red light cameras (which some corp. gets most of revenue!) and put a real officer there writing REAL tickets before a child gets run over and killed!
