There is a similar encampment not to far off from that location. Please note that your SeeClickFix report is listed in a different location than what is listed on the map you uploaded. I hope the city picks up on that. It appears there is a growing number of encampments in this area. Just up the hill there is another encampment which I reported on weeks ago. My report (#6422209) was closed by CSS. They state they are understaffed and will be sending someone out to deal with the encampment but it will take time to remove the encampments. (Check out post #6422209 for details.) I do understand that there is a number of reports on this site but with your post and the seemingly growing situation in this really grassy area, the on-coming colder nights and the possibility of increasing encampments, these posts need to be prioritized so that the homes and schools in this area are not endangered by fires similar to the Hanns Park fire. I will attempt to reopen post #6422209 and continue to monitor the the posting until the that encampment has been removed. I suggest you do the same and encourage neighbors to report any new encampments and continue to monitor their own reports accordingly.

This is a high traffic area. Tickets were opened in March and then again in June for this location. Would be great if the City could perform some abatement, such as pruning back the trees, cutting and removing grass and weed fuels, etc. to remove the curb appeal to campers and fire hazards.

Thanks Christina. The JUNK area is pretty well cleaned up, however at the main encampment site there are still a lot of items and there was a person sitting in an office chair.
