Fellow neighbor here. I can see the house from here and no structural work looks to be done on the porch and there isn't a full demo of any sort that would require a permit. Painting and replace minor rot (which is what it seems like they're doing) is ok without a permit. Also fences don't require a permit unless they're over 8 feet or of masonry over 2 feet, neither of which apply to this neighbor in this case. Maybe we should keep complaining about the "pregnant" German Shepherd mix across the street instead?

Another neighbor here. The pregnant German Shepard has been rescued by a neighbor on the same street over a week ago. Puppies are in safe hands. I also don't believe pointing out other problems in comments to posts is the best way to improve the neighborhood.

I don't believe pointing out non-existent problems are the best way to improve the neighborhood. Glad the pup was rescued. Hopefully our neighbors at 1708 won't be troubled by non-existent violations.

The non existing problem was pointed out after you made the issue resolved issue relevant. The non existing issue wouldn’t have been relevant in this case if you wouldn’t have initially try to fix one problem by pointing out another that had nothing to do with the reporting in the first place. Next time just thank the person for pointing out how an issue you brought to light was resolved.

I40 dispatched via 311 complaint for construction without permits. No contact information provided. Upon arriving at 1708 Gentry St, I40 checked ILMS and found no permits obtain. During the investigation I40 observed repair work done to the front porch. I40 posted 1st notice. 126 hard hold place on the property. Follow up scheduled.
